The FCWWC exists to provide companies and wellness professionals with programs, education and resources to optimize their employee health and wellness programs. The FCWWC gives members the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts in creating a culture of health & wellness within their organizations. There are four levels of the FCWWC Healthiest Companies award; bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs has received the Gold level award for the second year in a row. To be recognized as a gold level wellness program winner, FCWWC shares the following:
"Gold award winners have dedicated additional resources to ensure that their programs are being properly measured each year. They conduct an annual employee needs and interest survey, have a wellness operating plan and strategically select programs that will address their most prevalent health risks and conditions."
Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs started its corporate wellness journey in 2013 when it first began offering voluntary annual biometric wellness screenings and personal health surveys for its team members. In 2014, the firm formed its own wellness committee which launched the "Wellness Matters - Bean Counters for Healthy Living" program. Ennis, Pellum & Associates, CPAs develops an annual health and wellness program tailored to its employee population, team members' interests as well as ongoing prevalent health risks and conditions identified in the annual biometric assessments and surveys.
Wellness initiatives in the firm include pedometer competitions, biometric screenings and personalized wellness assessments, workshops conducted by local physicians and wellness experts, Maintain Don't Gain weight challenges, subsidized YMCA gym membership fees, and a wellness portal with access to a wide range of resources. Team members earn points for participation in the firm's wellness challenges and can receive an annual gift card.
The firm partners with PATH, a Personalized Approach to Health which is a collaboration between Baptist Health and YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, for external health and wellness resources, implemention of biometric screenings and personalized health surveys, evaluation of health risks and program effectiveness as well as learning best practices from other other First Coast companies committed to the health and wellness of its team members.
We are proud of the firm and all of our “bean counters for healthy living” for receiving this award for the second year in a row. In particular, we want to thank our wellness committee team members for their efforts and energy in the firm’s wellness initiatives.
Congratulations to all of the award winners. We're pleased to be in such good company and here's to all of us taking care of our own, our familes and our community's physical and mental wellbeing during this challenging COVID-19 time.
